Most of the year Grassington is a bustling Yorkshire village with a traditional charm and steady flow of visitors seeing it as a gateway to what the Dales has to offer. However, every so often Grassington plays host to some cracking events which bring in thousands of folk from near and far. The famous annual Grassington festival has attracted such acts as Jools Holland, Ruby Turner, Banarama, ELO, Mark Almond and many many more over the years and is always a sell out week long event.
Add to this the festive Dickensian festival, the 40’s weekend with all its WW2 charm and the many other events throughout the year, you realise it’s not quite as sleepy as you may have first thought.
